2. What Personal Information We Collect

The Site collects personal information in exactly one place: the demo-request form. When you submit it, we collect:

• Your name
• Your company name
• Your work email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• Your industry (optional)
• Any message you choose to include (optional)

We do not otherwise collect personal information through the Site. We do not use cookies, browser storage, advertising trackers, or any chat widget. We do not currently offer a newsletter or marketing-email signup, and there is no careers page collecting CVs.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall Site traffic — for example, which pages are visited and how many people visit. It is a privacy-focused, cookie-less analytics tool: it does not use cookies or browser storage, does not track you individually or across other websites, and does not collect or store any personal information. It only reports aggregated, anonymous usage statistics. If we ever adopt a different or more invasive analytics or tracking tool, we will update this policy to reflect it before doing so.

Technical information

When you submit the form, our server briefly reads your IP address, solely to apply a basic rate limit (to reduce automated spam submissions). This information is held only in server memory for that purpose, is never written to a database or shared with any third party, and does not persist beyond normal server operation.

Separately, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard technical request information (such as IP address, timestamp, and page requested) for every visit to the Site, as a routine function of operating web infrastructure. This is Vercel's standard platform behaviour rather than something we configure ourselves.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit through the demo-request form solely to:

• Respond to your enquiry;
• Contact you about CryptCure, if you've asked us to; and
• Protect the Site against spam and abuse.

We do not use your information for any other purpose, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

4. How We Share Your Information

We use Resend (operated by Plus Five Five, Inc.) to deliver form submissions to our team by email. When you submit the demo-request form, the information you provide is sent, via Resend, to our inbox. Resend acts as our operator in this process and only processes your information to deliver that email.

We do not share your information with any other third party. We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated, anonymous Site traffic statistics — it does not receive or process any personal information, and we do not use any advertising or marketing platforms that would receive your information.

International processing

Resend is operated by Plus Five Five, Inc., a company headquartered in the United States, and stores customer data — including message content, delivery logs, and account records — in the United States. Resend maintains a Data Processing Addendum incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers, and self-certifies to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Where your information is processed outside South Africa, we rely on Resend's data protection safeguards and contractual commitments — including the Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Privacy Framework certification described above — to ensure it continues to receive an adequate level of protection, consistent with the requirements of POPIA.

5. Data Retention

We retain the information submitted through the demo-request form only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and pursue a potential business relationship with you, and in any case for no longer than 24 months from the date of our last contact with you, after which it is deleted or archived in a manner that removes it from active use — unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal obligation, or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

6. Cookies

The Site does not set or use any cookies, and does not use browser local storage or session storage for tracking purposes. No cookie consent banner is shown because none is required — we simply don't use them.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information submitted through the Site, including:

• Encrypting all traffic to and from the Site (HTTPS);
• Using basic automated measures (a hidden field and a submission rate limit) to reduce spam and abuse of the contact form.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

8. Your Rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

• Ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
• Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• Request that we correct or update inaccurate or outdated information;
• Request that we delete personal information we no longer have a valid reason to hold;
• Object to our processing of your personal information; and
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe we have not handled your information properly.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business use by adults representing companies in the construction, manufacturing, and mining sectors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the Site is not directed at minors.

We may update this policy from time to time, including as the Site or our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
